MY BITTERSWEET RELATIONSHIP WITH CAMERAS.

INSIGHT:

Recently a friend of mine & coach asked me a personal question, after she came across a picture which was taken of me during a video recording.

Her question had me reflecting on my bittersweet relationship with cameras & being in the spotlight, & reminded me of how far I've grown & come as a person.

Those that have known me for a prolonged period, are aware that I've never been too thrilled about having my picture taken & often hid from cameras in the past. What they are not aware of is that, for most of my life I wrestled with issues of self image & thoughts of not being good enough. These stemmed from personal experiences in my upbringing throughout childhood to adulthood. Consequently I became very timid & avoided the spotlight or cameras, due to thoughts of been a failure & not being good enough.

CONCLUSION:

I thank God that today, my narrative is different. Furthermore, I'm surrounded by great people who continue to celebrate the Woman I am & encourage me to standout & be better!

THOUGHT:

Life is a journey that we're all on & change is inevitable. Nevertheless Growth is Optional, so whether you increase or stagnate is a Personal Choice!

QUESTIONS:

1. How desperate are you to grow & develop yourself?

2. Are you ready to break those Psychological Barriers & take the limits of Yourself?
